First weekend in!
SO I ARRIVED in India. Safe and sound. Four days into my stay and I'm still not over my jet lag, it's 5.30 hours ahead of London time... Lovely. I'm still in the process of settling in so not quite ready to report things but will do that soon. For now I just want to share HOW wrong was I to think that it won't be that much different... Well, it is a developing country and there are not always side walks. The way from the airport was a bit rough, just passing a few villages full of cows, stray dogs, shoeless people and all that magic. We're located in a hotel close to work but on the outskirts of Bangalore. Other than a few shopping malls (one of them really good, they have Zara, Mango, and several other high street stores) there isn't much around. You can't and don't really want to walk anywhere, so we just resort to taking cars or took-took (like an automated rickshaw). The weather is nice, not to hot, around 28 degrees and sunny, love it. Tomorrow is first day at work (school?) so holiday is over. Wish me luck and here are a few photos.
